I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
