Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any damage is unclear and the United States has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - reported they have shot down missiles in their air space.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.
The statement noted debris landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
